ALLIANCE, Ohio — A police officer in Alliance found himself in an unexpected situation after responding to a report of a “suspicious person” riding a bull in a local parking lot.
According to a statement from the City of Alliance Police Department, Officer Hook was dispatched after reports came in of a man riding a bull up and down a parking lot near Walmart.
“When he got to the area, he found the bull and rider in the lot of Tractor Supply Co. in the 2500 block of West State Street,” the department said.
Rather than encountering a threat, Officer Hook discovered that the bull and its owner were simply passing through the area on their way to a rodeo event in Columbiana at Garwood Arena.
Before long, the officer decided to join in on the fun, climbing onto the bull for a quick photo — a moment that was later shared by the department on social media.
The post concluded by clarifying that no laws were broken and the situation ended peacefully, saying, “The bull and his owner were in town passing through for the rodeo this weekend.”
