VIDEO: Florida Boy, 11, Charged After Allegedly Writing “Kill List” at School

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — An 11-year-old boy has been arrested and charged after allegedly writing a “kill list” naming people he wanted to target at his school, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified the student as Karson Curry and released footage showing him being escorted into a juvenile detention facility.

In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office said the boy is facing a felony charge of making a written threat to kill.

“While school threats are down recently, Sheriff [Mike] Chitwood is continuing to stress to students and parents that these types of threats will result in felony charges,” the agency said.

No injuries were reported in connection with the alleged threat. Officials said the case remains under investigation.
