VIDEO: Customer Throws Hot Coffee at McDonald’s Manager in Michigan, Police Identify Suspect

BUENA VISTA, Mich. — A McDonald’s manager suffered minor burns after a customer threw a scalding cup of hot coffee at her during an argument over an online order, according to police.

The incident occurred at a McDonald’s restaurant in Buena Vista Township, where the woman was reportedly upset about delays in receiving her food. Witnesses said the customer yelled at staff, claiming she had been waiting more than an hour for her order and demanding a refund for two sandwiches, The Independent reported.

In a video circulating online, the irate customer can be heard shouting at the manager before hurling the cup of coffee, prompting the manager to scream in pain.

The Buena Vista Police Department confirmed that the suspect has been identified after officers received numerous public tips.
“I must have gotten about 100 tips. Within about two minutes, we had her identified,” a department spokesperson said.

The manager sustained minor burns and was treated at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name, and the investigation remains ongoing.
