LOS ANGELES — Music artist Tish Hyman says her membership at Gold’s Gym was terminated after an incident in which a man allegedly followed her into the women’s locker room at the Beverly Center location in Los Angeles.
In a series of posts on social media, Hyman described the encounter, saying the man “followed [her] into the women’s room and called [her] a bitch.” She said she ran out of the restroom “crying and screaming,” and that police were later called to the scene.
“Gold’s Gym terminated my membership after the man was escorted out by police,” Hyman wrote. “Then had me escorted out by officers afterwards. It was embarrassing!”
She added that she spoke up because she believed women should be protected in locker room spaces. “This is why we can’t be quiet because people need to know what’s happening,” she said.
The incident reportedly occurred at the Gold’s Gym Beverly Center, which was recently acquired by EoS Fitness, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles.
Neither Gold’s Gym nor EoS Fitness has publicly commented on the matter as of this report.
