VIDEO: NYC Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani Links Polling Place Bomb Threats to Trump

NEW YORK — New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani suggested that former President Donald Trump bears some responsibility for a series of bomb threats reported at polling locations in New Jersey on Tuesday morning.

Authorities in New Jersey confirmed that multiple polling sites were temporarily evacuated after bomb threats were made as voting began. Law enforcement officials have not yet identified any suspects, and no explosive devices have been found.

In remarks following the reports, Mamdani appeared to connect the threats to Trump’s political influence.

“We have to understand this as part of the general approach the Trump administration…” Mamdani said, before criticizing what he described as a climate of intimidation surrounding elections.

Local and federal authorities, including the FBI and New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, are investigating the incidents.

Neither Trump nor his representatives have responded to Mamdani’s comments.

Voting later resumed at the affected polling stations once the areas were cleared and deemed safe by officials.
