Washington, D.C. — Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has come under criticism after making remarks perceived as mocking conservative women during a recent interview.
While speaking alongside a guest described as a 6-foot-5 man wearing a dress, Crockett commented on the appearance of women who support the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement.
“You know a MAGA woman when you see one. They all have a look, right? Like, their lips be up to… anyway,” Crockett said, before adding, “But yeah, they don’t even know.”
The comments, which circulated online in clips and social media posts, drew backlash from conservative users who accused the congresswoman of insulting women based on their political beliefs. Some Democratic supporters, however, defended her remarks as light-hearted or taken out of context.
As of now, Crockett has not issued a public response or clarification regarding the statement.
